The DTAPE DT50 is more than a simple point-to-point tool. It features several modes to calculate dimensions automatically:

Target Visibility: In bright sunlight, the laser dot can be hard to see. Use a target plate or a piece of white cardboard to give the laser a reflective surface.

Before heading to a job site, ensure your device is prepared. The DT50 typically runs on two AAA batteries. To begin, slide off the battery cover on the back and insert the batteries, noting the correct polarity. Once powered, press the red READ button to turn the device on. You will see a laser dot appear; this is your targeting guide.
